Wind turbines do not release carbon emissions and can be built with minimal environmental disruption. However, wind energy is not widely adopted in Malaysia, as it is difficult to generate energy because the country is located in a low-wind speed region.

The first unmanned platform in Malaysia harnesses hybrid RE of solar and wind. 

 

Timi Field Development Project (Timi)

  • Targets peak production of 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in gas.

  • Transport gas through an 80km pipeline to the F23 production hub.

  • Located at 252km north-west of Bintulu, Sarawak and 202km north-west of Miri, Sarawak in Malaysia.
